Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh are poised to make a substantial profit, as their lavish Cheshire mansion is now on the market for £1.25 million [1]. The couple purchased the Edwardian property in Bramhall for £675,000 in 2021, and if it achieves its asking price, they could see an 85 per cent increase in value, equating to a £575,000 gain.

This potential windfall would mark a considerable financial turnaround for Thomas, 42, whose name is solely on the deeds [1]. The former Coronation Street actor faced bankruptcy in 2013 due to an unpaid tax bill and, more recently, his media firm, R James Thomas Ltd, reportedly had just £1 in its bank account last year.

The couple invested tens of thousands into renovating the property, transforming it into a polished four-story family residence that includes a gym, sound studio, and an open-plan kitchen [1]. Estate agents Mosley Jarman describe the home as having been "lovingly and extensively developed and extended to the highest of standards".

While Thomas has openly discussed his past financial struggles, Mecklenburgh, 35, has built a significant fortune through her fitness business, fashion deals, and lucrative endorsements [1]. Her entertainment company, Lucy Olivia Ltd, recorded assets of £1.32 million in 2025, according to the Daily Mail Showbiz.

The couple, who met on The Island with Bear Grylls in 2017 and got engaged in 2019, moved into the Bramhall property in 2023 after extensive renovations [1]. They relocated from Essex with their children, Roman, five, and Lilah, three. Despite the luxurious setting, Mecklenburgh recently revealed on Thomas's podcast that they sleep in separate bedrooms because he is a "nightmare sleeper".

Thomas, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2018, described his 2013 bankruptcy as "pure carelessness" [1]. He stated in 2024 that he doesn't regret what happened, viewing it as a "blessing" that taught him a great deal.
