Privacy policy
This page explains what data BreakingNow handles and why. The data controller is [legal entity name], [registered address], [email protected].
Visit counting
When you open an article, a small script tells our server which page was read, the website you came from (domain only), the campaign tags in the link (for example that you came from our Facebook page) and whether the screen is phone-sized. To count unique readers we keep a code computed from your IP address and browser with a secret that changes every day, so it cannot be turned back into your IP address or linked across days. We do not store your IP address and we set no cookies for this. These records are deleted after 90 days; only totals are kept. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which stories are read (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
Advertising
There are currently no ads on this site. If we add them, this section will say who serves them and how to manage your choices.
Hosting and security
Our hosting and network providers process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, and keep it only for as long as they need it for that purpose.
Social networks
The share buttons are plain links: nothing is sent to Facebook, WhatsApp or X unless you click one. We use no social media pixels.
Some galleries show public Instagram or TikTok posts through those platforms' official embeds. Their content and cookies load only when you tap "Show the post"; from then on the platform's own privacy policy applies.
Emails
If you write to us, we use your message and address only to answer and keep them as long as needed for that.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
