Man Utd hit by triple injury blow before Spurs clash

Manchester United are facing a severe injury crisis ahead of their Premier League clash with Tottenham, with Benjamin Sesko, Patrick Dorgu, and Noussair Mazraoui all ruled out ^[2]. The absence of the trio comes as Michael Carrick’s side prepare for a pivotal fixture against their north-west rivals, who remain winless in the season.

United sit 12th in the table after just five points from five games, a sharp decline from their promising Champions League-qualifying start ^[2]. The international break exacerbated the issue, with several players—including Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo, and Karl Darlow—pulling out of national team duty. Dorgu and Mazraoui returned with lingering issues, while Amad Diallo, Carlos Baleba, and Matthijs de Ligt are still rebuilding fitness at Carrington.

Carrick confirmed Sesko is still a way off full fitness, with Dorgu and Mazraoui both sidelined due to knocks sustained during international duty ^[2]. Despite the setbacks, Carrick downplayed the significance of the fixture, stating, "Just another game," while acknowledging Spurs’ quality and recent underwhelming results despite strong performances.

The game comes at a critical juncture, with United set to face Atletico Madrid and Como in the Champions League before hosting Leeds ^[2]. The fixture against Spurs, though, is seen as a chance to halt a slide that has seen the team struggle to convert performances into points.

According to one source, Spurs have shown strong performances but have not received the results their play deserves ^[2].

The match will be broadcast on TV and streamed live, with details available via the Mirror ^[1]. Fans can also access the match via the Independent’s coverage ^[2].

What happens next remains uncertain: with injuries piling up and the schedule intensifying, Carrick’s ability to manage a depleted squad could define the season’s trajectory.
